Your skirts a whirlpool as you walked
My heart recognized you then
And you became my soul.
I heard you singing as you came my way
Your voice like honey floating on the wind
My heart turned over and my blood began to sing
As you approached my senses began to sway.
Dreaming, I longed for you
Now you’ve magically appeared
I reach out my hands to you
‘Cause you are my shining light.
I have sampled lust so many times before
But never has loved knocked upon my door
Yet now, enchanted I stand before you
As you sing a lovely fairy song.

rikaaimabout 19 years agoI think this is exactly what a poem should be. You hit all the marks with me. You evoked strong feelings as well as generated a clear picture. Your etheral feel makes this a poem that I can quickly, and fondly, relate too. Don't sell yourself shy. You write brilliantly, and I do hope that you continue to write what's true to you. As long as you do that, you can never fail.
