Triangle wedges of women
People you "hold places for"
This is what your emotions look like on paper

Pie chart heart

A large section for her
Maybe a sliver for me
Maybe less
Maybe more

Pie chart heart

Is it wrong for me to despise
The power she still has over you
And wish I had
Even a quarter of her influence

Pie chart heart

Some of us look at love
As something more pleasing to the eye
And a little less business-like
A Picasso, a "Where's Waldo?"
A work of undefinable art

Pie chart heart

I don't want to be that wedge on your chart
I'm all in and can only wish you were the same
Matters such as these are never simple
But I know I simply don't want to be a part

Of your simple, graytone pie chart heart.

I like this ...

Love the idea. I feel your pain and you paint a vivid picture. I agree with Maria, tighten it up and it will come together freshly baked with a lil steam blown from the top ~

Nice reading you and Thank you for the great image ...

a wonderful idea

I think the poem itself could be tightened up; lose a few unnecessary words, lose the quote marks in the first part. It is effective without them and they are distracting.

I love the idea you have presented and the way you have done it. I sort of know how you feel.

Hope you keep writing and submitting--, I will make sure to read your work
