Click hereDo you want me by your side?
Do you need me in your life?
Does the world stand still when i come into sight?
Or do you think
“Oh here comes another fight.”
Am i only the warmth in your bed
and not the warmth in your heart?
Am i only good for that sexual release?
Am i now only your comfort zone?
Am i just that body you are used to?
What happened to the days of learning each other?
Caring for each other?
To have a simple kiss,
a brush of your hand,
and small sign that you still care.
Yet i stand here a silent scream for love,
as you carry on your life along side mine.
Since when is a marriage just two bodies together,
marriage is suppose to be two spirits united.
Your time precious to you,
as we fall down your list of priorities.
the pain,
the hurt,
the cries,
the tears,
the void growing larger between us...
yet stuck in your world parallel to mine,
you fail to hear and see us.
I stay because maybe one day you will awaken.
Awaken from your world to see us.
To see your girls have grown without you,
to see your wife is now a stranger in your bed.
emotional needs uncared for,
her heart breaking as you were tending all other priorities.
Those priorities.
The education to get you a better job.
The work hours to get you more money.
Money that feeds your family,
Money that starves your family.
Just a glance,
a few moments of your ever so precious time...
a meaningful “I love you”
just a moment.
A moment is all at it takes.
A moment to lose all that you have,
or a moment to gain the greatest treasure...
Our love.
almost singing out for his love..his attention. But alas the flame is flickering and the fire may go out.
Using moment carefully ~ set aside a few to say ~ I love you.
Lovely rendering revealing what's really important.
Random thoughts do not make poetry. There are some nice ideas here, just very badly written.
It's been some time
Since your first submission, "Contemplation."
This is another equally moving piece;
a "must read" for every married man.
Your poem was mentioned on the thread "New Poems Reviews"
thanks for the literary journey, Art~
