Sex aside, this is an interesting and well told story with an engaging cast of characters who the audience is brought to genuinely care about. On top of this, your writing is actually good English, which the vast majority of erotica is not. I especially liked the use of "sophomoric"; one so rarely sees it used as an adjective, and it's such a good one.

Your work is a pleasure to read, and a good fit for this site, being both erotic and very literate.

I encourage you to keep up the good work. While I am not a publisher or critic or anything "qualified," your writing seems publishable to me. Getting published isn't an easy or quick task, but have faith in yourself. You are good, regardless of what anyone else tells you.
