goes so nicely with my current 'black dog, bad dog' theme.

There's lots going on in this poem. It feels like a mix of gothic and Tom Waits and even Poe. I like the imagery and the human metaphor it conjures. I might edit it down a little to tighten it up, but it's really good. And congrats on the end of the um blockage. :)
