Click hereHe just keeps looking at me1
and I look at him
and turn away.
I look back
and surprised, I find
he just keeps
looking at me
I furrow a brow
"Okay... what now?"
Why does he look like that?
Like he just smelled a rose?
He
just keeps looking
at me
absorbing
soundless
"What!"
Did he just win something?
What is going on
in that head of his?
Dammit!
Defiant, I glare.
He
just
keeps
looking
at
me
And shyly gave a smile
That left my face glowing.2

I'll just join the crowd; I loved it! I love poems which catch moments.
This poem was mentioned in the Archival Review thread, in a picking through Lit's archive of over 36,000 poems.
----------
you captured a great moment between two people- loved the last line!
Gina, you are a poet, and little behold to me, you have a lighter side, like a butterfly, I can relate to your course with your mom, but you still are that curiosity in all of us! You captured the essence of moments, WOW, haven't we all been there, with that stare, yeah, what the hell is in his head? No one has ever described to me their exact feelings in the moment dumbfonded, but you seem to pull it all out, very flowingly, without a doubt! Great work, Gina, way to catch spontanuity at it's debt of wonder!

2 great poems - and so similar but yet so different.
Great poetry!
Puts everyone in a situation that one knows and you relive them - remember them when reading this - that's more than great poetry - that's magic!
