Was it hateful providence that

let one little saline bastard

fall from your eye,

into mine?

It's trite,

but I'll hold it close,

long and longer

the length of the poem symbolizes to me.. not forever for although it takes a considerable amount of time.. and is filled with great emotion and visuals like love making.. it does end..
