That first rush of
Print
The rush at seeing
    your piece
    your slice
    your life
Knowing everyone sees it
    with you.
Only after the high
    you see the inconsistency
    the little mistakes
    that translation brings.
You see your life
    in somebody else’s interpretation.
And you can’t blame
    them for their
    unconscious editing
    blacking out their pain
    crossing over your version
to get to their own truth.
