Have you ever seen the purple clouds across the horizon?
The sun dipping itself into the violet of the night?
The sheer beauty pulls my mind to a wonderous place.
I love to watch the colors unravel then quickly slip away.
I am happy to have seen it, but the memory fades too.
Until the sky is once again painted with brushstrokes.

I love the title!

violet and black

I like the way "violet of the night" sounds, but I'm wondering if it would be more accurate to say violet of the eve or evening. I think of night as... black. :)
