More and more we begin to see Laresa as a person rather than just an object...great work!

to the more twisted members of the SS can put a bit of a hard edge on a girl's disposition ~_^ Yet another example of how Laresa is losing the carefully cultivated control over her emotions - and disconnection from her servitude - that she has previously used as the means to endure centuries of having no free will of her own.

The transition from a peaceful tribe of Native Americans directly into the clutches of the SS is a little hard to chew on for a girl too, I should imagine. Great story!
