I loved the ending. This is some Twilight Zone shit.

I actually liked the idea of her just drifting off into space with them for the rest of her life...it has a certain "2001"/Major Tom quality about it. The addition of the researchers is too jarring for me (even though I know that's what they're supposed to do) after such a sensual experience. However, well done...a good read. ;)

I liked this story, but what I'd like to know is, where did the toothlessness come from? Did her body physically regress?
