Well written, it reaches deep to ones soul, bringing back the fears and pains of a child, something we've all felt at one time...

Good job with the repetition. I like how you continue in each strophe with the last word in the strophe above. It makes the poem much more interesting.

From the eyes of a child this small

These words speak of a tragedy of epic proportion.
