doubt me,
why should you not?
alone, yet you have precious little time
for anyone else.
Where is the meaning you seek?

look at me,
raise an eyebrow just so
how I wish
I could answer that
and ask for more.
Where is your awareness of the deep?

An abyss between
my deepest intentions
and my daily actions

Becoming aware
of your heart’s choice.
I hear it in every beat
I see it reflected
in your wine glass

Reality not chosen
Fantasy sublime

I want the unspeakable
I fear the unspeakable

I am the unspeakable

beautiful

I love this:

An abyss between

my deepest intentions

and my daily actions

So true for so many of us. Lovely poem.

Sorry,

I would not venture for a hug as Anon of course!

p.s. Still the best poem of the week for me.

Wait, could I hug her too?

I think this is the best poem I have read this week.

We seek intimacy we run away from intimacy. We want to know ourselves we dread it most. We look for each other to find the answer to our own doubts and find the reflection of ours. Care to escape to a fantasy best served with wine. The utmost complexity folded within the utmost simple pictures

My ideal poems are such.

Still catching my breath

A wonderfully deep, powerful poem, full of raw emotion. I really felt this one. I guess I could really bang on about excellent craftsmanship... but the bottom line is that I want to hug the writer after reading this.
