Her bottom was an August red
ripe for cutting, plenty for chewing,
fleshy, heedy and tart. She rose

on all four points. I remembered

a game
played with apple stems before partaking,
twisting it with each letter of the alphabet
to find your true love’s name. She rose

again, beckoning and split

Oh so vivid!

I could see it, feel it, hear it... a sensual delight!

Is this the same Ida Red that Bob Wills sang about

Ida Red, Ida Red

I'm a plumb fool 'bout Ida Red

My ol' Missus swore to me

When she died she'd set me free

She lived so long her head got bald

She took a notion not to die at all

------------------------------------

In any case a nice effort - great images.

Thanks, DJ
