Click hereYou tell me that words
The right words
Are never a waste.
You build me up,
Bit by bit,
I’m made yours.
I was yours before you wanted me.
You tell me that I-
Simple I,
Am beautiful.
I have a face
That would stop you
In a crowd.
Somehow, your praise makes me feel ugly,
Crude
Simple.
I love you too much.
I will never be the woman
That you long for.
I can’t be her.
But I can love you,
More than she did.
I can devote myself,
Give you all of me.
Clumsy words.
These are not the right words.
They are pale.
...a very sharp piece of poetry, revealing such a vulnerable raw soul. Beautiful, sad and enviably so simple.
I loved it
I enjoyed reading this emotive poem of yours. The ending was great.
