Listening to the moon,
Tasting the wind,
Hearing the clouds whisper of us
Your breath falls on my ears
Its melody, a lullaby
Lifting the haze of the day
While wisps of your curls brush my cheek
My body lightens in your warmth
Your leg over mine
You reach for my hand
Because it’s always there
Falling up into sleep
My body turns towards yours
My palm drifting to its home on your belly
Finding instead a vacant space in my bed
Senses shatter with the crashing wave
Regression floods through me
Accompanied by Pain
Drowning Aloof, Discernment and Healing
Well done with contrasts between the poem's romantic start and the stark conclusion.
Lying here with you,
Listening to the moon,
Tasting the wind,
Hearing the clouds whisper of us
a great start~
use of the senses in your imagery here; esp in the first stanza
'Lying here with you,
Listening to the moon,
Tasting the wind,
Hearing the clouds whisper of us'
