There is a lewdness burning in your eyes,
And wanton wickedness behind your smile,
Seductive music floating on your sighs,
As if sweet nature shaped thee to beguile.

And like a sparrow charmed by serpent’s dance,
Or like the moth entranced by lantern’s light,
With little need for cunning or romance,
You captured my poor heart without a fight.

And though, like any man, my wandering gaze,
Will sample the delights that pass my eye,
They only serve to set a heart ablaze,
That burns for thee and will until I die.

Why should I seek? What more could I require?
I live to serve. What more should I desire?

I enjoyed

reading this sonnet. Sweet and sugary. Yum!

rife, rife, rife with cliches

but then perhaps it should be

a twist enough on a hallmark

card, is what I doth see

The perfect setting in which to find

Love's feelings expressed in soft rhyme ~

It should turn her head!

What can I say except that is the sweetest valentine present I could have ever received. I love you, Mutt!
