Click hereIts two thirty in the morning,
The sun has yet to rise.
I awake from a dream,
Restless sleep.
A voice echos in my head,
"I was with you in my dream."
Your face is burned into thoughts,
I can see the scene unfold;
Your eyes shoot open,
A drop of sweat upon your brow.
You reach for me at first,
But feel only emptiness.
Sighing, you sit up,
Reaching for your smokes.
Your breath catches the
Cloud of white air.
The moon slants through your
Blinds, bars against your heart.
Mine has burst from your echo,
"I was with you in my dream."
It swells, pounds and pulses,
Aching to touch your face.
Half asleep and dreaming,
I see all of this take place
I call your name on whispered lips
And feel the heat in my lap.
Making love beneath the night
Underneath the moon
Underneath the sun
Underneath the sheets.
"I was with you in my dream."
excellent touching poetry, reaching into my chest and touched my heart with just your words, nice write A~
