Do You Believe? ©

Do you believe
In Christmas Eve

In all the magic that it brings
In the night that to children, means absolutely everything

In reindeer hooves
On roofs above

In sacks of toys
For good little girls and boys

In stockings stuffed
By the mysterious one who vanishes with but a puff

Up chimnies he goes with the speed of a swallow
His trusty sack sure to follow

To his sleigh up above
He goes to spread his own special brand of love

To make all his deliveries with the care of kid-glove
Do you believe in the one whom all children think well of

In the man filled with jolly
Who brings bags of folly

Do you believe
In Christmas Eve

~~

I believe, I believe!

And I should know

After eating scores of cookies

And quarts of milk

Through all the years...
