Click hereshe's not who you think she is
all you see is the shy exterior
the laughter, the fun, the quiet, the sweet
if you could see inside her
deep into her eyes
then perhaps you would run away
fleeing the terror you find
cross her, hurt her, threaten her friends
and the warrior erupts
not shy, not quiet, not calm
sword in her hands, war cries on her lips
fire in her eyes
violence and fury of motion
that brings enemies to their knees
when the white flag is run up, victory in her hands
that shy smile emerges, gentle hands of peace
but before her you cower
knowing the power
of the warrior within.
Never underestimate the quiet unassuming ones. They can be tigers ~ when brought to anger.
I thought your poem was filled with vivid images and grasped ones attention, a nice poem.
