with indigo blue
Tint from the window
just above you
there is no light
but that from the street
that dances on your flesh
innocent and sweet
Hey hey Lady lay in the Indigo blue
a shade that fills the intire room
A bright neon sign,
flashes blue from outside
vacancy and rooms for rent
pole's bent to by the drive
But the light still shines
like a full moons beam
the Indigo blue room
wistful memories spring
Hey hey Lady lay in the Indigo blue
the room for lovers like me and you
There is a deep rhythm to this poem, I like the couplets and how they draw the reader into a waltz of the moment. I can see the woman here slowly dancing, her dance is just how she moves, natural beauty. The blue floating on her, all of her then just parts of her. Her smile, a breast, a leg, a hand etc. Indigo blue is a very spiritual color and I felt that from this poem.. ty
Du~
your poem was mentioned in the Sunday reviews..
Hey hey Lady lay in the Indigo blue
the room for lovers like me and you <-I just loved these lines :) Fab!
With these couplets, I would've probably played around with the wording a little more. I think it was the "that" word in both couplets that caused a little problem for me.
there is no light
but that from the street
that dances on your flesh
innocent and sweet
Over-all, this is excellent! Thanks for the read :)
