Lord          censure is more painful         when soft
       like jellyfish at night
every evidence          touch          all in silence

wriggle little I like a lizard in
the harmless seeming
powdered ashes hot

and I ask         You Who say
      – not for tomorrow –
cast out!         cast out!

so many fish          how much more sea
also in me           stealthy sediment         may only
my chevron bones stay here          the rest with You

several ways

of reading this. Only one part threw me and it was the wriggle little I... other than that, it truly drew me in, I know I will read this several times. Cannot wait to see what else is there ;)

OK, why? You know this is inconsistent, with what you have done with the rest of the formatting.

I see two suble messages here, one is derived from content of the poem.

may only

my chevron bones stay here the rest with You
