(Hands) Gloves

For you I have bought gloves
To keep out the cold
To keep what I love safe and fine
Those hands that I held when we said, “ I do”
With love they have touched me
With love I hold them always dear
I find them in the dark
 Always wanting them near
Letting you know I’m there
You’ve raised them in anger
 They have wiped away tears
With out them I would not have love like I do for you
 My wonderful dear
Your caress and touch I always desire
Your hand I will hold through all of life’s’ fires
 And together our hearts

Touching

Very nice sentiment, nevadaman. The gloves are a great metaphor.
