Lined up

Venom spewed forth, common creed
Poured out unfairly and held too tight
Stand up for the things you believe
Freedom isn't free; requires a fight
For some it's an insatiable need

Professing fairness of spirit and mind
Proving it just a silly illusion
Vengeance of perceived wrong doing
Power corrupted; madness delusion
Once mucous filled eyes; now blind

Control demanded, contagious disease
Hunger unsatisfied, feeding still
Thoughts and views trampled upon
Victory sought of voices killed
Views not shared; unable to please
