We love each of our spirits,
Wanting the companionship of the other,
Unable and unwilling to live without
The joy and comfort of being together.

We each must live our own lives,
Each must find our own happiness.
I can not decide for you
Nor you decide for me.

No man is an island, says Donne,
But neither is there room for another.
For try as we might
To dispel the isolation,
We are still alone.

Undeniable truths

Another One brought tears to my eyes. This poem made them fall freely.

When we lose someone close, this is the last thing we want to hear, regardless of how true it is. The way this statement, "you have to move on with your life," has been spoken was comforting and reassuring without being cliche'. You spoke undeniable truths that needed to be spoken. Moreover, you spoke them with clarity and care.

Thank you. I'm putting this in my favorites to refer to on a regular basis.
