Undying Love

You have professed undying love for me
That you love me unconditionally
That if you met me right now... this minute
You would never leave me
That you would love me for eternity

Can I return such devotion?
Can there be such a love?
I have never known your touch
I have never know your kiss
I have never seen your smile
I have never seen your eyes light up

I'm being torn.... for I never want to hurt you
I don't want to cause you any pain
I don't want to lead you to believe that
There is more than there really is..

I don't know what to believe anymore
I don't want to lose your friendship
Is this real? I just need time...
I've tried to make you understand
I've tried to tell you how my heart is

At times I feel so lost...
At times I feel like I'm doomed to wander alone...
Forever...
The pain from my past... does haunt me...
My trust must be earned
My love is not so easily given

Will you truly be there?
Will you truly love me?
As you say you will....
Can I give of myself once more?
Can I risk loosing my heart?
Can I return your undying love?????
