The cherry picker
grumbled along
picking cherries
one by one
big ones
little ones
red ones and
over-ripened
weaving its way
around the bark
a delicate maneuver
spreading limbs apart
some come willing
some come hard
some come easy
others do not
with its long shaft
it probed the bush
picking a cherry
with a gentle push
particularly when it is slick enough to not become overworn. ;-D
is a peach of a poem, you plum you! <wink> I have seen in the last few of your posts especially, a true uniqueness of style that only you could achieve; a combination of zen like feel and the sense of a light touch in fable form.
This cherry tops the cake, Art!<grin>

Tho it sure cud've ripened more fore it was picked Such a fun little poem!
Has it been that long since the cherry picker came my way? It may have been gentle but it sure wasn't soft!

I like ~
It's so innocent
An 8-year-old could read it and picture a machine;
But show it to an adult
And that mind draws an enitrely different picture.
ITS not ZEN but I heard the joke by the china man. Wise man just spread lims! <grin
