Memories seep through my veins
Regrets from yesterday,
I was a hopeless romanticist
A paperback cliché.
I gave my trust too easily
Hoping love would come my way,
I always wound up getting hurt
A paperback cliché.
Learning fast from my mistakes
Finding out the hard way,
Life can take you by surprise
A paperback cliché.

So Well Done

And then wrap it

in upon itself;

this paperback cliché,

for it has now become

its very own paperback cliché.

What more can I say?

After reading all the comments made so far it is no wonder I said I could love the author. She is worthy of a better medium for her work than on here. If she were published in book form she could make a best-seller in my opinion.

Another gem!

Especially liked the rhythm, just right for the poem's content.
