The clock is slowly tick on the wall
The little girl has been gone for far to long
They looked around the town
Mother cries
Father paces
Neighbor pray
Everyone waits
Will the little girl be found
Or will they never know
Minutes slip by to hours
Hours slip by to days
Still know one know where she is
Neighbors go back to their lives
Father keeps searching even when almost all hope it lost
Mother stills cries
Hoping against hope that they will still find her little girl
Days slip by to weeks
Weeks slip by to years
Most all have forgotten that the little girl was even there
Father has given up the search
Though he still hopes and prays that his little girl will come walking through the door someday
Mother still cries
Always crying for the little girl that went missing
She has other children now
But none will ever replace that little girl
Years and years slip by
And still no one knows what happened to that little girl
And the clock is still slowly tick on the wall
