It's too bad 'he' didn't realize what he had until it walked away from him... walked away, tired of waiting for a love that couldn't or wouldn't be returned.
It's too bad 'he' wasn't capable of giving back (returning) the love you felt... and had for him. 'He's' the loser here... for you have picked up the pieces he left behind when he left you scattered and broken... and you have moved on... to become happy.
