Click hereThough this is a poem that I wrote for the Thanksgiving Challenge, the lines inspired me to seek out something. This is, for those who know me, a very personal struggle that I am going through. Thank you, Remec and WickedEve, for letting me use the your lines for the first and last lines of my poem, respectively.
on my knees,
i thanked God
for you1
for the gifts
you gave
to me
no price
could ever replace
the way you
touched me
yours sewed
my broken heart
yours dried
my weeping eyes
and now
though you
have departed
you are even
closer
now in my soul
i hold
a handful
of seeded prayers2

Although I knew not your struggle before reading, i feel I do now, and that is the mark of a poet.

and soulful. Touched my heart. The other poets lines were very appropriate..worked well together.
One question-in
yours sewed
my broken heart
yours dried
my weeping eyes- should not the "yours" be "you" ?
