In the deep shadows of grayness, thoughts weave
through tangled memories, unrepentantly
birthing the fears that corrupt love,
life. I quietly await the light that will
resurrect the you that I know is concealed.
Your ancient passion fountains from

loins that birthed the Gods and caressed
us mortals with glimpses of forever,
wrapped in humanity's bondage. Reaching,
we grasp for the pinnacle of impossible,
elusively hovering beyond vintage dreams
that torment, bend reality into something

untouchable. Come to me, let me help you
reacquire the path to tomorrow, even
while it is littered with fetid spoils of desire,
seeds spilled from consummate needs left
unfulfilled, yet requiring that heavenly
release to breathe, feeding this voracious planet.

Crack the pomegranate, take your nectar of love
and spread it over barren hills, like vernal cloudbursts,
exhaling moistness, replenishing your flower,
slickening dowsing rods, creating life in
tomorrow's womb, forever past anonymous gropes
in overcrowded, rank queues of the disingenuous,

with their dull eyes cloaking scratched Timexes
of discarded hopes and futures. I wait for the
light of the sapphire to crease your jade,
releasing the cords binding you to
yesterday's power play morality. White sand
pours through your glass...

For a pen name "quietpoet"...

you come in loud and clear in this poem. Wonderful descriptives and parallels of many of Life's issues packed into this piece. The last line,"white sand pours through your glass" is the reality check for Me. Excellent work - My favorite of the day.

Intrigue and mystery scores high on this esoteric write. Many energies flow and makes one stop many times to ponder on so many issues that draw us into the true reality of living.

thank you
